Free Newspaper Delivery Restrictions

In 2007, the CT General Assembly proposed legislation to restrict the delivery of free newspapers in Connecticut. Citing constituent complaints, legislators moved to put onerous burdens on publishers. CDNA opposed the bill based both on its local economic impact as well as on Constitional grounds. The bill was never voted on. Click here to read CDNA’s testimony in opposition to the bill.
